To all members! We have now recommenced racing activities on Sundays. Why not get the wetsuit out of the wardrobe and get back on the water? We will be competing for the many club trophies once again, more of which to follow.

For all of our recently trained members from our RYA courses, there will be special "Novices" series with a trophy up for grabs. A great opportunity to continue to develop your new found skills and get out on the water.

Lloyd - Commodore GSC

Race Report 04/05/2025

A great days sailing today at Calf Heath with the most favourable wind conditions so far this season in the form of steady force 2-3 from the North with some occassional lulls and shifts.

In race one, the Solo's took great advantage with John and Joe clinching first and second respectively with Lloyd making third place in the Laser. Good experience and learning opportunity seeing Lucy and Terry taking a fourth in their GP14 Blue Mist..

The second race saw an uncharacteristic mistake from John missing mark four on the revised course, but a reminder from the race box saw him retrace the course, make the mark and still come home to a win by two seconds from Brian in the second Solo. The second story of the race saw Joe and Lloyd fighting it out in their Laser's with Lloyd eventually coming out on top for a third place with Joe taking fourth. Another good showing from Terry and Lucy adding a fifth place to their opportunity to challenge for the novice trophy..

Another fun days sailing in some nice conditions, well done to all those who participated and persisted.
